Home Based Network and Security Architect
Job Description:
My client, an award winning Cloud Services provider is looking to grow their Architecture team with the addition of a Network and Security Architect. The successful Network and Security Architect will be highly motivated and skilled with prior experience in a client facing engineer role and also experience of engineering in the network design environment.
The Role:
This role will be client-facing role and requires the successful Network and Security Architect to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of networking and security technologies, focusing predominantly on, but not limited to, the Cisco product line. The main activity of this role will be to create architecture artefacts, such as standards documents, use-cases, patterns, reference architectures and blueprints, therefore excellent technical authoring skills are necessary. The Network and Security Architect will be working with emerging and new technologies and will have the opportunity to work from home.
Skills & Attributes required:
- Develop technical and conceptual diagrams to a very high standard.
- Perform research and development on Network and Security solutions.
- Design and configuration of:
- Cisco IOS Routers & Switches
- Cisco Nexus
- Cisco UCS
- Cisco ASA, vASA & Firepower
- F5 LTM & GTM
- PaloAlto firewalls
- Cisco Wireless product range
- VMware vSphere v5 v6
Hours/Contract:
9am - 5pm Monday - Friday
